Supplies:
There are several kinds of air dry clay available. Nearly all of the projects below use either Crayola Air Dry Clay or my personal favourite DAS Air-Hardening Modeling Clay.
Not all types of clay work as well as others. Depending on the type of clay you use some can be fragile and crumbly. I’ve put together a list of some of my favourite air dry clays below.
Here are the two I recommend:
Crayola Air Dry Clay White / Crayola Air Dry Clay Terracotta
Das Air-Hardening Clay White / Das Air-Hardening Clay Terracotta / Das Air-Hardening Clay Stone
And a couple of alternatives I haven’t used personally but are popular and have good reviews.

DIY Clay Jewellery Ideas.
Air dry clay is perfect for creating jewellery as it’s lightweight and easy to use (no firing or kiln required). It can be sculpted, moulded, stamped, shaped and cut into any shape you like. And once dry it can be painted or drawn on to create a unique design.
However, as it doesn’t require a firing in a kiln to harden it does mean that your finished pieces can still become soft when they come into contact with water. This means that anything made with air dry clay should be painted, sealed or varnished if you’re going to wear it out in all different types of weather.
