DIY Clay Ornaments.
One of my favourite traditions is making handmade decorations and this year it's all about Clay Christmas ornaments. I love being able to decorate the tree with homemade ornaments.
Working with clay gives you so much freedom to experiment! You can roll, shape, and stamp the clay into endless designs.
Start simple with holiday-themed cookie cutters (think stars, bells, and trees) to cut shapes out of air-dry clay. Bake or let them air dry, then decorate them with paint, glitter, or even a stamped design.
Or combine two or three colours of oven bake clay and twist them together to create a marbled effect. Roll into balls or cut into shapes - these look amazing on your tree!
Handmade Clay Ornaments.
Making our own ornaments is the perfect fun Christmas craft! It’s a great project to get the kids involved with and always a popular one in our house.
It's amazing to see what they come up with and it’s a wonderful way to spend quality time together while making lasting memories. Plus, their handmade ornaments will become cherished keepsakes you’ll treasure every time you hang them on the tree!
And of course, you don't have to only use your handmade ornaments on the tree. They also make a great gift in their own right.
You can use them as gift tags, personalised place cards, party favours or string them together to create a festive garland for your mantel or wall.
